Walkie Talkie Dream Garden interactive soundwalk
May 11, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pmFree
Come to an artist-led meetup for Walkie Talkie Dream Garden, an AAR (audio-augmented reality) soundwalk by musician-technologist Dafna Naphtali, for the Williamsburg Brooklyn waterfront. The meetup is a Creative Tech Week satellite event –http://ctw.nyc/experts/dafna-naphtali-walkie-talkie-dream-garden/
Walkie Talkie Dream Garden is experienced via a free iOS and Android app with location-specific music by Naphtali, and created for U-GRUVE AR (Audio Augmented Reality) platform by creative technologist Richard Rodkin, and with audio mixing by Sascha von Oertzen.
Meet the artist/creators, to get help downloading the app, turning on GPS tracking, get more information, and then head out to the waterfront to experience the walk, on your own, or with the artist and assistants who will lead small groups out to experience the walk together.
Meeting location TBA near/in East River State Park in Williamsburg, 90 Kent Avenue, but be sure to RSVP to get exact location and full technical instructions prior to the walk. All you need is headphones and fully charged phone with GPS on and cell-data enabled to participate.
